    A Weird Issue is Happening with My Xbox/Xbox Controller


    Hello everyone,

    There has been a weird issue that has been happening with my Xbox/Xbox Controller. I'll be playing my game, and out of nowhere, my controller will completely disconnect, but in a different way. Basically what happens is when a controller is turned on, it'll
    flash, get brighter, and then dim out, signifying that it's ready to be used. What keeps happening to my controller is that it'll randomly flash, get brighter, and then just sit there, bright, not dimming out, nothing. This means I can't control the Xbox or
    use the microphone. The weird thing is that it's not that single controller, but all of them that are connected to the Xbox. Different controllers, different batteries, all updated, nothing works unfortunately. I can't find anybody that has had this problem,
    and it seems it isn't the controller's problem, but it's the Xbox.

    Much appreciated to my fellow Xbox gamers who can help me with this problem.

    Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, the problem persists, and I tried it with different controllers, and I double-checked the firmware on the different controllers.

    Try connecting your controller, when the console is OFF, with a plug & play uSB charge cable, to see if the issue can be replicated after you turn the console back on.

    I would run the controller firmware update again, even if it reports "no update available".

    If the issue is replicated using uSB, as I suggested above, you may need to factory reset to get rid of any corruption.

    Are you in a Insider preview ring OS or latest General Availability OS?
