A week to download digital copy

I bought the xbox one call of duty advanced warfare bundle. I don't have the best Internet connection, it'll take me a week to download the game. My question is if I get a friends physical copy of the disc and install it. Will I still be able to play the
game without the disc? I already submitted the code to download. I wanna know if I can still play even without the disc.

Can disc installs run without the disc if you have a DLC code?

It's not a "DLC code", just a digital copy of the game.

Yes, one can use the disc to install a game, then activate a digital copy. The digital copy will not need to re-download, it'll automatically use the disc install.

You would have to purchase the game as a digital copy in order to play it digitally. You can't download a digital copy because you lost your disc.

thats true that the download speed for digital copies will take a rather long time on ADSL connections. i have an ADSL ISP and have an average of 10.60Mbps D/L and .90Mbps U/L via Wifi. but ill be switching over to having it hardwired over the next week
or two. i never had problems with the slow download speed especially since i have it download over night or while im away at class. would digital copies over physical copies installed to the hdd have the same loading times or would the digital copy be slightly
faster?

I dont think you will. I personally had the digital version on gta v installed but the digital copy malfunctioned for like a week i used the disc copy until i was able to get the digital copy to work properly.

If it's not in your download history it's possible you had the physical copy of the game & not a digital copy.

If it was the digital copy then it will be in your download history as long as you are using the same account that downloaded the game in the first place.
