A summary of power mode issues on my alpha skip-ahead one x

1- External hard drives turn on randomly every few minutes when using instant on: This is the oldest issue and the most common one. I have "When Xbox is off, turn off storage" checked, yet they keep randomly turning on every few minutes throughout the day which made me switch to energy-saving.

2- Xbox is acting like it's set to instant-on despite it being set to energy-saving: I believe this issue is only a few months old. I notice my hard drives spinning so I turn my xbox on, it boots up instantly, and I find no updates running. When I go to power settings, I notice that it is still set to energy-saving. Workaround is to fullshutdown from power settings everytime I want to turn it off.

3- Console turns on, on its own after a power cycle (hard reset): My controller is off. My TV is off. My kinect is disconnected. I hold xbox's power button for a few seconds till it shuts down. After a few seconds, it boots up on its own. This issue only happens when I power cycle. It doesn't happen when I turn my xbox off normally or after a fullshutdown. However, It doesn't occur when my hard drives are disconnected.

4- Xbox launches whatever game is inside the disc tray after I turn it on: Controller off. I turn xbox on using the power button. It boots up immediately and then launches whatever game is on the disc (in my case it was cod: black ops 2). This issue is the most recent and it has occured twice so far. It only happens when using instant on (in my case It is on energy-saving, however, issue 2).
