a question about car games

psn is doing a nice little sale and on sale is need for speed most wanted and burnout paradise...which is a better "drive around in an open world crashing into things" non-racing car game? i enjoyed playing a friends copy of burnout paradise and i'm wondering
if most wanted is very similar to it, or if i should just buy burnout? i do not care about online or racing, so saying the online is dead for whichever is completely moot for me...

Reviving dead threads is annoying when someone revives a complaint thread from years ago to post some nonsense no one cares about. There's nothing wrong with reviving a game thread because you have a question about the game.

Most Wanted is better in my opinion. Burnout does have a crash mode where you see how much damage you can cause though.

 

I will give PS+ a quick plug.

Tomb raider, Remember me, Bioshock Infinite, Payday 2, Borderlands 2 plus a few arcade games are free right now.

And the need for speed discounts are good for 5$. Most wanted, The Run, Hot Pursuit and Carbon.

Just good game deals. Don't be mad a lot of people play on PS and Xbox.

 

For just driving around causing mayhem I'd got with Burnout: Paradise.

 

most wanted is the game the criterion guys made instead of another burnout game, right? i feel like people kept saying one of the need for speed games was basically a new burnout, minus the fun crashy bits...

 

@BootstrapGolem where do you see Burnout Paradise on sale I don't see it it shows up for 10$ thats regular price.

And I think Burnout ended with Revenge thats a great game and I still play it, Paradise just wasn't as good. I would go with Most Wanted.

 

Is it? It's on the discount/sales page, so I just figured it was on sale...if $10 is the normal price then I'll pick up most wanted now and burnout later...maybe.

No reason gamers shouldn't no about good deals most people who are not closed minded nerds play on both systems anyway. So move along with your brand loyality.

 

well, he has a bit of a point. while this is a general games forum, it's also an xbox games forum...but i'm just trying to get a sense of which game is better...the fact that i'm looking at the games for another console should be relatively inconsequential.
