A Question about A Backwards Compatible Games

Why do I have to pay again for a game on Xbox One if I owned it digitally of the Xbox 360?

i owned both of the keflings games world and kingdom, but now it wants my to pay $10 for kingdom again

Talking about backward compatibility? Is there a list of backward compatible games? the one here does not show the skylanders... thanks

This is a great question! To answer your question any game listed on the Backwards compatible list will work on the xbox one you can find that list here

www.xbox.com/.../backward-compatibility In your situation you have to have the exact game on that list your best bet is to reach out to the game developer and let them know you want it backwards compatible. They don't know unless people like you tell them.

Both those games are available with bc and you don't have to pay if you have purchased the games with the same account you are using for xbox one. Regarding this issue I suggest you to contact xbox live support so they can check your account and your download
history in order to help you:

You would need to be using the same account on Xbox One that purchased them on Xbox 360. If you are, the game should be in your Ready to Install section within My Games & Apps.

 

I am using the same account.

Not in the Ready to Install section..

And when I go to the store is says its $9.99...

 

the reason you could be getting this problem is due to buying a game on the xbox one for example

you buy the walking dead S1 on 360 then you try to download the same game on xbox one two different releases for different consoles but if this is not the case and the game your trying to download is backwards compatitable check your ready to install list

Make sure on the ONE you are looking at the 360 version ?

If you still have your 360 you can go to that game and you will see "Play on my Xbox one" next to it on the 360.

 

Went on my 360 and while I was playing it, the game crashed and then somehow deleted. Tried to reinstall but can't, won't my to repurchase it... This is BS... Have 9 out of 12 Achievements.... I am not buying it again no way....

 

If it got deleted then look thru your download history on the 360 and download it again. If the 360 says you didnt buy it contact support.

Thats the first step then go on from there. PS if some other gamertag bought it on the 360 and you are sharing it, that doesnt allow you to get it thru BC on the ONE.

 

Can't find in history, if I was looking in the right place, no other gamertags on my 360.

Xbox Support. They'll help you get this situation sorted out.

Today I buy Xbox One. I been using Xbox 360 in some years and game list grown beefy.

Problem:

When I browse my 360 games and some titles have "Backward compactible" but Xbox One

"Ready to Install" don't show all titles?. I miss like: Lode Runner, Mass Effects, Trials HD & Xcom Enemy Unknown.
