    a problem with my xbox 360


    I have an old xbox 360 and am trying to set it up for my niece. she loves just dance and to play i need to have the kinect sensor set up. i cannot use the kinect tuner unless i do a system update. its telling me to sign into xbox live. so i go and try.
    it cannot download the update. "To test your connection, open system settings and select network settings, test xbox live connection." how am i to test xbox live connection when i cant sign in? i have looked up the status code 4497 - 0000 - 3080 - 0504 - 8007
    - 0070 and still can never find a non-vauge answer telling me what to do. if anyone knows how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

    If the console is banned, there is nothing that can be done. Console bans are not reversible. You'll have to go back to the seller about it.

    The enforcement team does have a site where users can check to see if a 360 is banned prior to purchase. It can be checked here:

    if your fan is working so hard to make that much noise,it must be getting hot,try a different position,and try either standing Xbox up or lay it flat,see if it changes anything,it could well be an internal fault,but i'd try these things first

    There are power differences between the US and the Philippines. When your son plugged it into the 220 volt outlet it probably blew the power source and/or the console.

    Your only option here would be to contact support and see if they can repair it.

    1. Are you seeing any error codes/messages? If so, what are they?
    2. Does this happen just with your profile or is it any profile on your console?
    3. Are you not able to log in to your console with your account or not able to sign in to Xbox Live?
