    on attempting to load chapter 9 I get this error.(the game disc has been removed. please reinsert the game disc to contine gameplay.)

    I got the game from game pass(PC).

    has anyone else seen this error and dose anyone have a fix.

    Unfortantely happening for me as well. Not sure if reinstalling the game will help but it looks to be an issue with the digital copy of this game. Might be some bad piracy detection.

    I have exactly the same problem (game pass PC, the same msg when loading chapter IX), I tried above but I did not help. Is there any way to repair the game (steam calls it verify integrity). It is quite a big game so I would not want to try reinstalling,
    not knowing if it would help.
    I know it's a hassle but I would reinstall it. There's no known fix yet so I'd try it at least.

    I had the same problem but i did a power cicle and uninstalled the game. And know its working fine!

    Did you not read the question? He is talking about GamePass PC, not a console.

    Mine seems to be working now, thanks for the tip! So glad they got that fixed, I guess I can actually try out the rest of the game now.
