A new "Fad" I've noticed

I've noticed that since the "Rules of Enforcement" go into effect almost instantly after you report an individual for whatever reason, the trolls of the popular Xbox One titles such as
[Mod Removed - Profanity] and [Mod Removed - Profanity] have now decided to use this to their advantage. I am now banned until the 29th of January due to confronting another player about ruining the game mode known as "Gun
Rush" on Red Dead Online for continually spamming the Armor and Bow and arrows with dynamite attached to it, giving you no chance of enjoying the game. I first politely asked him to stop spamming the dynamite bow. This individuals gamertag is "[Mod
Removed]" he replied with "LOL. Get gud [Mod Removed - Profanity]" I replied with "I don't need to deal with little gta scrubs, see ya around" and joined a new lobby. His retaliation was to simply report me because of the new instant
punishment system. Five minutes later, I get a message from Microsoft claiming that I misused the messaging system. I strongly suggest that you review this enforcement action and redesign the so called "Ban Hammer" to it's former logistics to prevent the
new misused and overly abused auto enforcement system.

You said you 'confronted' the play, not your job, let enforcement do their job and just report.

You shouldn't retaliate when you think another person is violating the Code of Conduct, just report, block and keep playing as normally. Retaliating violates the Code of Conduct and is subject to enforcement acts.

There is no such a thing as "new fad" in enforcement acts because every report gets investigated by XBLPET before a suspension is issued. For the rest others have indicated you how to proceed.

I simply asked him to stop ruining the game for everyone. Then I removed myself from the situation. Ironically, I did mute and block him. I'm still at a loss as to how I am being punished and now paying for a service I cannot use by handling the situation
like an adult. As previously stated, if the enforcement system cannot make logical enforcement actions, it has no business interfering with a individuals gaming experience. I should not have to take certain precautions on my end to make sure I am not the person
that is punished.

General rule is that you should not get into wordfight with trolls as it might end up with yourself getting banned unfortunately.

As others have mentioned, you should visit enforcement.xbox.com for more info on the suspension and to raise a Case Review if available.

Instant suspensions are usually not a thing as each report is investigated by a member of the team for validity. If could be that you were suspended for a prior report. However the same rules apply to everyone, if you send a msg that contains something that
breaks the rules and you are reported for it then action will be taken.

Ignore the people who taunt as they probably want you to reply with something that gets you suspended so they can report you. Ignore, report and block.
