A new account has been created for the same email on my pc

If the email account has been deleted from hotmail, you should be able to create a new one with the same address. Then resend the password email and it should be received by the new account.

I am having the same issue.

Logged into the new Xbox with my email + password, which went through fine. But it created a new user account instead of showing my old account. This is preventing me from connecting my Xbox account to my Ubisoft account since it goes by the username and not the email.
