    A Change That Could Make Gamesharing on Xbox Better!


    Hello all, I Have a recommendation to make regarding Game-Share on Xbox. Gamesharing is one of the best features of xbox. I have been Gamesharing with my friend for more that 2 Years, the service is great, works perfectly and im loving it! But there is a single issue that makes Gamesharing unfair for the person sharing his games. Once you set your friends xbox as your home xbox he is able to play your owned games ASAP without any issues both online AND OFFLINE. Leaving you UNABLE to play your own games OFFLINE. Which can be a problem if you go for vacation on places that dont have internet. You the owner of your games wont be able to play them offline because your friends xbox is set as your home xbox.

    What if, instead of having a single option for setting your home xbox, Microsoft added a new option, which was called My Friends Xbox. that way both your console and your friends console would be able to enjoy exactly the same privileges, Both being able to play online as well as offline.

    what do you think?

    i think it would solve that 5 times a year switch problem! While keeping Publishers content as safe as it was!

    do you gameshare with anyone or does anyone have access to your account? make sure your account is set to Home Xbox

    also you could try changing your password to make sure its safe.

    My gameshared dlcs arnt working.

    It used to be against the rules to gameshare with friends/buddies in different households and could get both of your accounts banned. Gamesharing and sharing people's Home Xbox is only meant for family, in the same house. Is this changed now? Is this allowed
    now? Because now when people ask about it, nobody points out that this against the rules and other people are happy to help people gamesharing with their friends. Did I miss something here, is this allowed now?

    I very much think Xbox support could do things about this, for example redeveloping the way they do gamesharing and home Xbox switch, also could just have an option to gameshare or not from whoever owns the account and if they consent to it.

    My xbox1 gamertag was changed without my permission

    if the friend has access via gamesharing then this could lead to a ban, change password now and make sure not to abuse the home setting, as this is your responsibility to keep the account secure you will have to pay.

    If he did this in person on the console then you should have had it secure and again your responsibility.
