    If we already bought the game before the Microsoft Migration, do we still get the cape? Or do we need a Mojang account, and migrate to get the cape?

    They will only give cape to those who have a Mojang account and migrate the account to Microsoft. Anyone who purchased the game with a Microsoft account will not receive the cape, as they will not need to migrate the account.

    I bought minecraft from Microsoft but I can't migrate

    The cape is only given to people who had a Mojang account and migrated to a Microsoft account. If you did, you can sign in to https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/profile/skin and select the cape from there.

    If you never had a Mojang account and did not migrate to a Microsoft account (meaning you always had only a Microsoft account), unfortunately you will not be able to redeem the cape. I'm sorry about that.

    I've owned Minecraft java for over 6.5 years at this point, and bedrock since it came out on windows as "Windows 10 Edition", yet I still have not received the vanilla cape

    The vanilla cape is a unique cape offered to users who owned (by purchase or by code redemption) Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on PC on the same Microsoft account before June 6, 2022

    If you don’t see your cape, try refreshing the game by logging completely out and back in.

    Minecraft Support cannot 'merge' two accounts to force eligibility, and account migrations that have taken place after June 6, 2022, will not be eligible for the cape.

    Hi Basel, I hope you're doing well. I am an Independent advisor, and I am here to help you.

    You can only get a Migrator Cape if you have migrated your Mojang Account to a Microsoft Account during the migration period.

    If your account is newly created, unfortunately, it is not eligible for the Migrator Cape.

    Sadly, the Migration period ended last September 2023, and only the gamers who migrated their account from Mojang to a Microsoft account during the migration period have been given a Migrator Cape.
