A bug in Dawnguard?

Gee thanks! (also kidding) I'm pretty sure she is very different than the other companions. She cooks, reads, makes potions and is regular at the enchanting table. Sits around on the ground sometimes and is often found in a chair while she waits for me.
As far as I've heard, if I dismiss her she won't be available anymore. I'm about done with this character so as soon as I get a new face, I'll be doing something else for awhile. The red eyes are a bit intriguing though. Just thought I'd share in case someone
else has this unusual experience with her.

Okay! As far as bugs go, this one has happened 4 times now. Luckily I had saves to get me out of it.

Serana is the culprit, not the Dragon. She's casting some kind of life drain at her opponent and hitting everything with it. Bandits, critters, Dragons, it doesn't seem to matter. Every time she does this, I immediately become a Vampire and start to feel
the effects of battling outdoors in the sunlight. After the fight, I'm no longer a Werewolf but a Vampire. I even tried to get cured by Falion and he doesn't offer me any option for curing. Maybe trying to early as I'm only a Vampire for the one day.

I used saves and restarts to fix it. Just a bit annoying as it is not happening every time. Mostly close quarters combat when I'm too close to her during the battle. Oh! and I do have the Companions perk that's supposed to prevent my attacks from hurting
other companions. Maybe that doesn't work with Serana. She's very different from all my other companions.

You are right, sir. My collector's edition has Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine but I had to buy the mage's tower online. It is the only one I bought, the others were not hat appealing to me being other houses or horse armor for a horse I didn't have.

Angelus, that happened to me also, I was not a werewolf but I was traveling with Serana. We were that giant cavern with the lake inside and the an island in the middle, high ledges, can't remember the name of that place.

Anyway I eventually gave up reloading previous saves because it would always reoccur. My vision would go red and I'd get that message. After clearing that place out, I made a bee line for Morthal and had Falion cure me. You are too far gone at that point
for a Cure Disease potion to help you.

Not sure if you can do that being a werewolf? Definitely a Dawnguard glitch though. Never saw any mention of it on the wikis when it happened to me. She hasn't done it to my second character yet, I'm assuming it's Serana infecting me somehow. However, even
when I was careful to keep out of her line of fire it would still happen at the same exact place in that cavern.

As I have mentioned my son, who was a Lego maniac, has grown up to become addicted to Minecraft to the extent that he is a co-owner of his server. He's a Minecraft guru. lol One of my fondest memories of bonding with my adult son came the first Christmas
after my husband died. I needed a new TV because the other was going dark. I bought the big screen HD that came with a free Xbox 360 which my son got along with Oblivion for Christmas. The two TVs were set catty-cornered to each other and my son and I sat
opposite our own TV with me playing Morrowind with the sound off and him playing Oblivion on the new TV. It was really great.
