yes he was playing his dads copy online yes I know bad mom bad w/e I have 6 kids I'm very flexible if it means someone's quiet NOW back to the original problem any suggestions?

Seems i'm not the only one then. I'm having a problem with the update and same error code. Figured my Xbox One X cooked or something. Hoping it's just an issue on their end.

Hmm I just fixed my problem, however not sure exactly which step that I took fixed it, so here is everything I did. (this may not be the solution it just may be luck for me)

From the error screen I selected stay offline, then went into settings - network - network settings - advanced settings - dns settings (selected Automatic) went back went to DNS settings (select Automatic) Went to Alternate Wireless MAC address (select
Clear) System then told me it had to restart, it restarted straight into offline mode, I went back into network settings and instead of connecting to my normal WiFI I connected to my phones mobile hot spot. That worked and it went straight into an update
and downloaded a 450mb update and restarted my console again. After it restarted I was still offline I then went online and it was all good again.

I disconnect the power to my Xbox one for more than 2 minutes. Then I disconnect the power on my internet router so that it also got restared and I check my internat Cable to my Xbox one. I started up the internet router and the XBox One. The Xbox one started
directly to download the system update and now it works.

i really hope is a problem with microsoft, since theres a lot of people with the same problem, i have it too, tried everything and nothing happens, an error occured with the update and i cant install it

I'd like to try this suggestion but the problem is that I can't select "Advanced Setting" until I choose "Go Online". But as soon as it connects me it takes me to the option to do the update or stay offline and use xbox. Kind of a catch-22 there....
