80154002 Xbox 360 Xbox Live Profile Setup Error Code Fix

As of March 2022, I'm trying to create a new Xbox Live Profile specifically on the Xbox 360, because I want my gamertag to be 15 characters long. I've done a lot of research and creating it on the 360 and then transferring is the only way it'll work. I have one, and I've done this method before, but now when I do it, I just get the error code 80154002. My Internet connection works, I already have a Microsoft account to link it to. The profile is created, but I can't set it up to Xbox Live.

Hi A. User,

Another user had the same problem that you had and this thread shared the solution they found. However, I don't know if this solution will work for the 15-character gamertag, which we don't have a solution for as Xbox 360 support content is no longer being maintained.

80154002 is the error code I get when I try to download my profile on the 360.

I got the same error code of 80154002 as well. I accidentally created a new xbox live account under the wrong profile on our xbox 360 instead of my profile, and, when I went to try and change the user account linked to the profile, I get this error message.
And I can't find anything online about it either.

Hey there, so you tried creating a new app password for the Xbox following these steps?:

Also try doing this exact process. Delete the profile from the console (profile only) and clear the system cache 3 times. Restart the console and try downloading your profile.
