    When you have get the error 8015190a when connecting to Xbox Live and you contact support, they will tell you to:

    Delete your profile

    Delete your cache

    Factory reset the console

    Reset the router

    Try another ISP/ Try using a hotspot

    Change your password to 16 letters or less, no special characters

    Turn off/ on recurring billing for Gamepass

    I can tell you that none of these things worked for me. If you look online, there are numerous reports over the years that have always been dealt with in the same vague manner.

    How do we get a proper response to the problem?

    I've purchased an Xbox 360 so I'll let you know if I'm able to download the profile on that console.

    I'm working hard here, guys. Would be nice if the people employed at Microsoft got involved... you know... maybe... just a little.

    1. This is an Xbox Series X console. The error happens when playing backwards compatible games. I had the same a similar problem in January of this year.

    2. The console is not second hand. I'm the only user.

    3. Yes, of course.

    Under network settings, it says everything is fine. It's connected to the internet. It's connected to Xbox Live. NAT is open. When I play XSX or One games, there's no issue.

    The problem is when connecting to Xbox Live through the 360 emulator. I got the error 8015190a. Support told me to delete the profile and clear the cache. Following that, whenever I boot a 360 game, it says "getting your Xbox 360 info". The loading bar does not move. After a couple of minutes, the screen fades to black and the game starts. Opening the guide shows that there's no profile. If I try to download a profile, it says "cannot connect to Xbox Live". There is no error code.

    Some extra details:

    In January I had the error 801540A9. This time the error was 8015190a. In both instances I was advised to clear the cache. In both instances, I was unable to redownload the profile (with some slight differences).

    With the error 801540A9, I could at least access the sign in menu. I could enter my email and password, but the profile would fail to download.

    With the error 8015190a, I am unable to enter my email and password.

    Can we check the back end servers now and then can we get some information regarding the repair procedure for this issue. I was told in January to send my console for repair, and I've seen many others stating that doing so fixes the issue. I think we need to know what exactly is being repaired, no?

    Based on the description, you are having issue connecting your account to the Xbox Live due to an error. Let us check and see on what we can do to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

    By the way, I have seen that you have posted this concern many times already and not getting specific resolution to your concern. This can be frustrating and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. Allow us to do our best to further assist you and help get to the bottom of this.

    The error message you are getting would mean that there's a problem with the Xbox Live service, or that your Xbox Live account is failing to properly authenticate. We understand that you have perform some steps to resolve the issue however if the issue is related to the server, we will wait until the server is up and running. We will tell you how to check for any service interruption with the server so that you can check it from time to time. To check the Xbox server status, click: Xbox Status | Xbox Support

    On the other hand, have you tried the method below which is also helpful to resolve the problem? If not yet perform, see the steps below and it is worth a try.

    • Go to the Services and subscriptions page for your account:

      Services & subscriptions
    • Sign in and locate the text to turn auto-renew either on or off for your existing Xbox subscriptions, such as Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold.
      • If you have auto-renew enabled, you'll need to go to where it says Manage for each subscription and then select Turn off auto-renew. After that, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.
      • If you have auto-renew disabled, you'll need to select Turn on auto-renew. After that, follow the on-screen steps to complete the process.
    • After you've changed your auto-renew setting, try to sign in to your Xbox 360 or an Xbox 360 game via backward compatibility again.
    • Once you've successfully signed in, go through these steps again to change your auto-renew setting back to how you previously had it set, based on your preference.
