    I put in a code for microsoft points and it gives me error code 80122725. What i read was it says that xbox service is like down. But then when i did it on the computer it said their was a mistake or something was not complete.

    Problem

    You see the following error message when you try to redeem a gift card code on Xbox Live:

    Can’t retrieve information from Xbox Live. Please try again later.

    Status Code: 80122725

    This means that the card was not activated at the retailer.

    Solution

    To resolve this issue, return the card to the retailer and ask them to activate it.

    That error code means that the card was not activated at the retailer. You'll need to go back and have them activate the card so you can use it.
