8 Player Server that is always on! Creating a gaming community. (Xbox One)

I would say if you suddenly have connection issue during a multiplayer game and someone is claiming responsibility then it's on a player hosted game. COD and Halo use a single player to act as the host/server and if that player has a program to stall packets,
or an actual switch to briefly cause a connection interruption resulting in a mild advantage, total disconnect for everyone, or the game to migrate the host duties to another player. Also on player hosted games you are literally always at a disadvantage to
the player hosting the game or as you put it one step behind. Again if the host is savy enough they can isolate the IP addresses of players in the game, but it's extremely unlikely.

If you stick to games using dedicated servers then you will be on basically equal footing as everyone else and it would be impossible for someone to trace your IP address since you're only communicating with the games dedicated server and Xbox Live servers.

GTA servers contain the user profile information, you need the servers for player stats and game synchronization (in-game missions, heists). An Xbox provides the room (lobby) and your representation (avatar) is playing in this arena. That is why when one
player who has a dodgy internet connection joins, how it can effect the whole room. And how when you leave and reconnect this problem goes away (unless it is your internet that is the culprit). When a player shoots or plays with another you have communication
between Xbox consoles - when a shot or play is done, the result is provided to both, three, or eight players, depending on circumstance. The whole room can be effected, so you have communication with 16, xbox 360 players. This is why lag plays such a role
in this game, when a player sees another and provides an action (shoots) due to Lag, the shot is at the other players ghost so to say in the lobby. These are just some of the misconceptions I find in many online games, there are not usually 'servers' where
you are playing your game, in another city or state, there is your 'xbox' that is running the software, creating your environment, and presenting it to other xbox users in the same game, or lobby. The perception of a Server somewhere hosting all services is
usually why a game cannot provide all security or status for each user, there is no game server, there is just your xbox communicating with other xboxes. The game 'servers' are used to store, User Stats, Results, Money, Level, Avatar Looks, and on.

If you experience a hack to your game, these servers are where your hacked information is stored once the game has made a save, of stats and everything else pertinent to your session. If your cache can be corrupted, then you have a chance of the wrong status
to be saved to the game 'servers' as you think of them. The DVD cannot be overwritten with dirty data, but the Cache can be manipulated, as well as any unprotected HDD data, I have no experience with HDD data on the Xbox.

Also i've seen the 8 player tranzit glitch. Not that I'm going to talk about it in depth but am wondering if they are going create an 8 player tranzit type game? I must admit that would be interesting, but instead of using the characters over they should
bring back some old ones. Or possibly introduce even newer ones.

You would be suprised at how many people still play. Me and some friends hold 8 player matches pretty often. And if you want to play online just be patient and keep checking for servers. There is normally one or two open games most of the time. I love the
online and have both DLC packs which are nice. If you want I am always up for a game.

You pay for xbox live (like players that pay for PS plus) for better servers and more secure, and play online with safety. Like was said above for what I know PS Plus price is the same, the difference is that xbox live servers are better, and I have friends
that always had playstation consoles and they already said that in terms of servers, store and community xbox live is better.
