  2. Sorry to be a pain, but honestly, it is about to hit a month of the last possible date this credit was supposed to be sent out, and about a month and a half since I first asked customer service about this. Microsoft already *** me over years ago and this
was me giving them a second chance.

I see there are tons of people that have the same issue as me and I realize you have a lot of work (you may even have to check every account). However, I still don't know how it is taking so long to give u'd our credit as promised or to at the very least,
keep us up to date as to what us happening.

To be completely honest, this customer service is beyond unreasonable for this day and age. I'm not trying to be rude exactly, but more just point out that it's not really acceptable.

I really hope we get some kind of compensation for this month+ delay of credit we were promised. Would you find it acceptable if your friend told you he/she would pay you back in a week or two, and 1.5 months later said friend has not even spoken to you?
As a loyal customer who has already been burned before and got lured back in by new promises, this whole situation and the way it is being handled is really off-putting...

  3. Hey again, Hellbred! I really do understand your frustration with this, but we are still looking into it. As stated above, once I have more information, I will post it up. This unfortunately means that there is no information to report. We really do appreciate
your patience while we look into every account that has claimed this. We are working hard to make sure that the promotion goes to those that qualify. credit for purchasing xbox one :)

  5. So... after 2 months, finally got a "real" answer....

Below is a message you sent me.

Hey there, Hellbred. I am incredibly sorry to say that after a full investigation, you did not meet all the qualifications for this promotion. For your reference, here is the Terms and Conditions for this offer:

Offer valid ONLY for the Xbox Live account holder receiving this offer. Must purchase a new Xbox One standard console (or Kinect bundle or special edition) from any retailer from 7/7/2014 12:00 AM PST through 7/31/2014 11:59 PM PST and activate it as a home
console by 7/31/2014 11:59 PM PST, in the 50 U.S. & D.C, to receive a Xbox promotional gift code worth *** - FREE! Your gift code will be sent from Xbox to your Xbox One console message center by 8/15/2014. Your code must be redeemed by 10/15/2014 and spent
by 10/14/2015 or within 365 days of redemption, whichever date comes first. Limit one (1) free gift code per person. Use the code for eligible purchases (exclusions apply) at select Xbox stores and other participating Microsoft online stores. You must be 13+.
Gift card/code terms at www.microsoft.com/giftcards. This offer is not transferable and cannot be combined with any other Microsoft offers.

    To clarify, you must:

Be over the age of 13.

Have received this message on your Xbox Live account on your Xbox 360 console and selected it.

Have purchased an Xbox One between 7/7/2014 and 7/31/2014 and set it as your Home Console between those days.

Be within the United States, D.C., and Canada.

We really appreciate your patience with us while we investigated every user. Again, I want to state how sincerely sorry I am to say that the requirements for this offer were not met. While you were not able to qualify for this promotion, we do hope that
you may qualify for future offers! Please keep an eye out on majornelson.com and news.xbox.com for future promotions and offers. These will be your best options for seeing what we're currently offering.

Please don't let this discourage you from posting any issues you may be running into on the forums again. We love seeing our community help others out and do want to make sure you get fixed up for any issues that you may be having!

    ...

Now, my question is, why was the part I did not qualify, not pointed out?

To go through the list for the sake of spelling this out...

Be over the age of 13.

    - I am 24

Have received this message on your Xbox Live account on your Xbox 360 console and selected it.

    - I have received this message on my xbox 360 and selected it to look at the fine print... There was nothing else I could do with the message.

Have purchased an Xbox One between 7/7/2014 and 7/31/2014 and set it as your Home Console between those days.

    - I purchased an Xbox One and set it as my Home Console at 10:30pm EST (7:30pm PST) on 7/31/2014

Be within the United States, D.C., and Canada.

    - I live in Pennsylvania (which resides in the United States)

So, after all this full investigation, I still do not understand why I am not receiving my promotion, as promised and as told I would receive on numerous occasions, as I was already apprehensive that Microsoft would hold up their end of the deal.

You must understand my frustration, as the last time I dealt with customer service, they forced me to purchase a year subscription of xbox live at full price, because they refused to let me cancel my membership after multiple inquiries months earlier. After
that whole ordeal, I stopped dealing with Microsoft at all. And now that I am finally trying to give you another chance to you guys (and gals), I am getting lied to and burned before I can even try to enjoy my new system.

I realize Microsoft has more money than anyone can possibly spend in a lifetime, but I am not sure if it is realized how negative PR can effect their sales, customer satisfaction, and press (even after E3 2013, somehow).

If you are not able to help me, please escalate me to someone that can, as after 2 months I am beyond frustrated... especially after so politely putting up with "we're looking into it" for over a month past the date I was promised my promotion.

If this situation is not rectified, this will be the last dealings I have with Microsoft. I will not naively give yet another chance and I can't say my word of mouth to all my friends and family will speak fondly of this.

Also, apologies for any spelling mistakes and such. The format on these forums are really awful and nearly impossible to proof read - and I ranted quite a bit.

I think know what happened. Microsoft runs off the GMT timezone. So when you registered the system as your Home console, it was 8/1/14 in the GMT timezone.

yeah that sounds about right as GMT would be 5hrs ahead of what time you entered it which would be 3:30am on the 1st of August I believe.

$75 credit for purchasing xbox one

I wanted to add: Due to the circumstances and what not, I feel OP should receive it since he did everything on his part on the date given. Why a US based service runs off another countries timezone is beyond me.

  9. The promotion says by 11:59 PST tho =/ and not to mention the only reason I waited that long to open it was due to waiting for nearly 2 weeks to get confirmation I would actually receive the promotion >.>

    Beyond frustrated at this point

  11. One week later and still awaiting investigation by another person... Kind of interesting how the one and only part of the deal I cannot prove (Microsoft sending me the deal in the first place, as it was only an ad with no direct way of redeeming), is what
is being claimed the issue here. If I was not supposed to receive the promo, then why did it show up on my xbox 360? And why would multiple people from Microsoft say everything looked fine and to just go buy the xbox one and set it up (besides the obvious
cash grab of trying to get people to buy their system).

If I don't hear anything substantial and/or a logical explaination about this situation, I suppose I'll try customer service by phone and keep trying to find someone who can actually help - even if likely it will result in being run in circles... Other than
that I don't even know what to do other than trying to sell my system off so that I never have to deal with a company who just loves to do everything in their power to make me feel Like they're intentionally trying to milk money out of me by lying to me on
    a consistent basis.

If anyone else has bad any luck getting this promo, can you please let me know how you got it? From all the other posts across these forums, it seems everyone is in the same boat... "we'll look into it" and no further response for weeks/months, just more
and more people seem to be giving up trying to get their promised promotion, as it seems useless and hopeless to them.

I'll be honest man...it's gone this long. I think it's, unfortunately, safe to say you're going to get burned. Personally, from what you've posted here shows you should get it. I can't believe they're taking this long to even help you with it. credit for purchasing xbox one :(
