7-Day Trials not redeeming -- Invalid w/xbox but on site says valid but another error

Hi I have been using these codes before for awhile and had no issues. But lately it seems like any 7-day trial codes which give you some gold access with most games but keep you as silver account are not redeeming.

Please dont state that I have entered the codes wrong because I have tried many and they are not working. They show INVALID on xbox but show valid on trying to redeem them on the site. They say you are trying to redeem a 7-day Wrigley Promotion Code or
whatever and I have others also but once I accept it. It gives me a generic Sorry something went wrong please try again later and they never work.

I have called Microsoft Support and they did give me a 1-month gold but I have many of these codes that should work and they are not working.

I do make sure my account has no gold when trying to redeem these, I have also used new accounts and they dont accept the code either. Wondering whats going on.

Since they're from a promotion it is possible they could have expired.

 

Or if you bought them out of region due to eBay etc then that would be the issue codes are region locked

 

There not expired as I sadi earlier xbox.com shows they are valid and working but wont follow through it says Sorry there was a problem Please try again. I have also tried newer codes that are recent and shouldnt have expired soon.

 

There USA codes. And even if they were region locked I could just change the region and they would work. But there American codes so region is no factor.

 

Expired codes will list what they are for before giving an error. That is why I suggested that.

 

Ok. I was unaware of that. I sworn I had a expired code and it just showed invalid on both the site and xbox system. It could be an issue but I think its something with Xbox servers or something. As I am not the only one with this issue and I have used
pretty recent codes that i would almost bet they have not expired but I cannot be 100 percent sure. This problem has just occurred recently within a month or so and I have many different promotional 7-days and it seems like xbox just wants golds now.

 

They are expired. The Wrigley promotion was a deal with Skittles. The codes had to be entered by October 31 -

Ok thanks buddy I have some others that arent working either so maybe thats just it. So are you saying if I get more of these that are unexpired I should be good again and not run into this issue again?

 

Right. As long as they're not expired and they're for the same region, you shouldn't have any issues.
