It is odd to know that you are having issues while playing the Gears of War 5 but be able to use Surface Earbuds on playing other games and music. Hi Kathy,

Thank you for your reply. Sorry I couldn't respond earlier.

Regarding your questions:

1. I haven't faced any issues when using my Surface Earbuds to play music.
   
2. I'm able to hear sound when playing other games. And the issue doesn't happen on the loading screen. I'm able to hear the ice-breaking sound when the game is loading. But once I'm in the game, I cannot hear anything.
   
3. My PC doesn't have a speaker and I don't have any other headset now. I'll purchase a wired headset tomorrow and see how it goes.
   
4. I tried to use Intel Driver & Support Assistant to update my drivers(I'm using an Intel NUC). But it didn't solve the issue.
   
5. It has happened since I started to play this game last weekend. My PC has the latest windows update.
