after the latest update, my xbox one x has become completely unusable. I am unable to launch any apps or services save "my games and app" which is stuck loading the library (even with my external drive disconnected). Soft booting the system results in a
black screen with response from the system. Hard booting (press and hold power button) gets me to the home screen but if I try to bring up the home guide (xbox button) it will usually results in the screen dimming and nothing else happening. Pressing and holding
the xbox button brings up the page but attempting to report the error gets stuck. It also appears that there is no way to provide direct feedback to the Xbox Insider program outside of the console app (which I can't access).

Anyone have a work around other than sending it out to service?

You can not use offline updates if your console is in the Insider Preview. As the builds are completely different.

To factory reset

1. Press and hold power button on Xbox for 10 seconds till fully shutdown.

2. Press bind and eject (keep these held) then press power button

3. Wait for second power up chime.

4. From troubleshooting menu select reset.

5. Reset keeping all games and apps.

I'm not exactly sure how you do this, but I believe it's possible to delete the update and download it again.

I tried a factory reset after it finished going through the initial setup, I was back at a black screen. I'm going to try to re-image the drive using the offline update method (if it will let me) as it appears that I won't find any useful feedback here.

Hi. Have you tried resetting your console or opt out of the program. If you are unable to get in the app, you could try a full reset of everything in the console. Unless the console is inaccessible, you might as well contact official support for repair
information.
