    5.1 audio issue with Netflix app


    My surround sound system plays 5.1 audio just fine when using the TV app or when playing games, but I only seem to be able to get stereo audio when using the Netflix app.

    Anyone else have this issue or know if Xbox support is aware of it?

  2. Problems with Netflix

    Hi, after the last update, when I try to change the audio to English 5.1 (Im from Brazil) the Netflix app gives me an error: "Ops Something went wrong! The netflix app needs to close...."

    And the app close, the weird thing is that this issue only happens when I try to change the audio language to English (Both Stereo and 5.1) BUT this problem does not occur on every movie, only on 85% of them

    I already reinstalled the app many times and didnt solve the problem.

    Ps.: Sorry for the english... 5.1 audio issue with Netflix app :)

    Losing center audio channel and other problems with 5.1 audio

    Try ESPN, Pretty sure that is a 5.1 source app, some netflix are depending on the video. Hit the right thumb stick in to see what the audio out is.

    5.1 audio issue with Netflix app

    It could be a glitch with the app or that particular program does not offer 5.1. When the program is playing please press down on the D-Pad twice then press A and you'll see your language options.

    i see the option for languages when i do that, but no option to switch between stereo and 5.1

    i would think the netflix app would support 5.1, but i'm not positive. if someone knew for sure that might help

    Xbox Series S doesn't allow audio passthrough on Netflix and YouTube app

    The xbox is not doing internal decoding on Dinsey+ and Prime video apps, since it's sending undecoded DD+ to the amp.

    When the Xbox is set to send Dolby Digital w/ passthrough enabled as you suggest, amp gets Xbox DD decoded audio stream from Netflix instead of getting DD+ Netflix native audio stream. same issue on YT, except for 5.1 content, which results for the amp in getting DD+ native audio stream from YT.

    Hope this is more clear.

    TV Tuner Stereo output only?

    I'm having the same issue. I had the HomeWorx connected to my Xbox and I had 5.1 audio from most HD channels, probably because it was via HDMI. Now, there is no 5.1 audio via USB. My opinion, the TV app needs to be updated to support 5.1 audio via USB.
