4K UHD playback error (0x91d70001)

Trying to play Inception 4k UHD on my Xbox One X, and I keep getting thr above error message. I’ve experienced previous difficulty with getting the Xbox to play UHDs in HDR (particularly Marvel movies, for some reason), but this is the first and only one
I’ve encountered that doesnt seem to want to play at all. I’ve power cycled, hard reset, deleted and reinstalled the blu ray app, cleared blu ray persistent storage, switched up hdmi cables, and even cussed at it a whole bunch, with no luck.

Earlier this evening, I tried the disc in my brother’s Xbox One S, and presto! It worked. I mean, i didn’t watch the whole thing, but it went to the Blu ray menu and seemed to boot up just fine.

I’m really bummed. I guess I’ll just have to watch the standard HD version like a sucker...

Any thoughts, suggestions or brilliant ideas?

I had this issue with Jaws 4K Cine edition. I unistalled blu Ray app then reinstalled. Worked.

have you tried another 4k disc in your xbox?

Yes sir. The other 4k discs i have seem to work just fine. I also cleaned the disc just to be safe and there appear to be no scratches or visible deformities.

Restart your TV, often times this is done holding doen the power button until you see the logo pop up. and make sure the Xbox is connected directly to the TV

Dumb question... What kind of HDMI cable are you using?

I thought an HDMI cable was an HDMI cable as it was just 1's and 0's being transmitted. This is not the case.

I was having sound issues with my XBox One X and the Dolby Atmos setup and after months of fighting with it, I learned that I was only using HDMI 1.3 wires.

Once I had upgraded to an HDMI 2.1 cable which I found on sale at BestBuy all my problems went away.

(The problems were not across the board and would be worse on some games and non-existent on others.)
