The BEST setup for 4k is all 4k devices should.be connected to.the tv directly then optical out to any receiver for.sound

This reduces latency that can affecr hdr signals

Lower priority devices like non 4k should.be put on spliter

Also.refer to your tv manual.to.make sure you use the best port available to you usually hdmi 1 unless you are lucky and all.the ports are 4k rated and most.tvs arent that way usually one or two ports only

For xbox one x best to use the included hdmi cable or a 2.1 cable or higher and yes not all cables are created equal

You have to make sure you have the settings for Smart HDR on enabled on your TV and the settings for your Xbox enabled too. following the above guide from BlackRhino90
