3rd attempt to post, XBOX bricked will not power on following latest update June 4th

If the power brick is 3rd party this may be the issue. Always use first party power bricks.

Power bricks for the Xbox One are no longer manufactured by Microsoft, so you probably have a 3rd party manufactured one. These are not supported by Microsoft and as such, can have problems. The only way to find out if it is the console or power brick,
is to try another power brick.

I have the same problem! Since the second to last Insider update my Xbox won't turn on after an update attempt during the night. Power brick is bright orange, while the Xbox is in instant on power mode. When I press the xbox logo it tries to play the start
up tune but it doesn't and nothing happens. Only way to get it to boot is to unplug the power brick, let it rest for a while, unplug all USB devices and plug the power brick back in. After booting up, manually start the update again, and when it's finished
plug all USB devices back in. And after that I have no problem booting anymore untill the next update attempt during the night.

The only time you can brick something is too lose power during a update . But you can always fix it with the latest update from a thumb drive.

Cato USA please do this hold the power button for 8 seconds on the console okay. then unplug the console from all power ie remove the power brick then wait up to 5 minutes then reconnect the power, try it out and see if it'll work.

You can also try an offline system diagnostic tool that's up to you though.
