360 sign in fail on Xbox one

Signed in to Xbox one X. Trying to play a 360 game. "Can't sign in" error message. Cleared 360 saves on storage as per other advice. No joy. Fails to fetch info when. "Getting your Xbox 360 info" I hope I haven't lost all my saves? Help

Hello Banshee121, we've received some similar occurrences regarding Xbox 360 logins and also games in backward compatibility on Xbox One, while we have no official position from Microsoft.

I'll pass you a procedure to run the console to see if it connects.

Cache 360

Clear the console cache this way:

1. Press the XBOX button on the controller, go to "Settings" and select "System Settings".

2. Select "Storage".

Highlight, but don't select, a storage device and press the Y button on the controller to access Device Options.

Note: It doesn't matter what storage device you select. This will clear all storage devices from the cache.***

3. On the Device Options screen, select Clear System Cache.

4. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select "Yes."

Note: After successfully clearing the system cache, you will return to the Storage Devices screen. Press the XBOX button on the controller to return to Xbox Home.

Also, I tried signing in on my 360 console but that also failed.

Personally, I have never had a controller to fail. That includes the original Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox One S. Now that I have said that I will probably have one to fail.
