360 Game of Thrones

Thanks Jasp! I plan to get it on the very cheap looking at some online prices I can get it at a few quid. In a huge GoT mood right now so would be nice to try this out for the sake of a few pounds, once I get my 360 back. Knowing my luck, this will come
to GwG straight after I buy it...

 

I'm a huge GoT fan and I couldn't get into. It was extremely boring.

 

Mixed responses now lol. This game is set in the same world but it doesn't interfere with the canon story right? Meaning it wont ruin anything in the later series if I did pick this up soon?

 

I played through the first chapter last night. The things I liked is the HUGE story-line going on, that is pretty much all the game has going for it. If you're a fan of the show and/or books, you'd probably look past most of the negatives and enjoy it.
The combat is really odd... I'm playing on Easy, so I haven't really had any problems, but I have no idea what I'm doing. lol

 

Thanks dude! I saw this on your forum card in another post and figured you were the one who posted in here when it came through my emails. Enjoying season 4 right now very much! Getting the books soon, waiting a week per ep is too much lol.

I played through Chapter 5 last night, and... well.... I actually like it. The combat is still wonky, but you really aren't playing the game for it's combat aspect... it's the story that you're after.

 

Yeah I hear nothing but bad things about it. I'm into Game of thrones myself, but I don't see an appeal in it to be honest. I am more excited for the new one by TellTale games.

 

Combat I can live without anyhow. See after watching Season 4 on the TV, I am about ready to take anything right now lol. As for the TellTale game, that better have some good Tyrion moments in it. I would love that. I imagine it will be one ep per region
and setting but I could be wrong. I just don't know how well they can pull it off without hurting the main story.

 

I haven't finished it yet but have enjoyed it so far. If you are a fan of Game of Thrones it will be more enjoyable.

few graphic glitches but nothing game breaking that I have encountered yet. fighting reminded me of a water-downed version of Dragon Age

 

Dragon Age (I played 2) had a fair combat system so if its anything like that at all, then I could hit it up on that alone. What are the enemies anyway? White walkers? outcasts?

 

So far just your standard guards,bandits,bannermen,wildlings. Not encountered anything outside of that.

 

Thanks dude. I forgot their name in my last post which is why I put outcasts (shame on me lol). It would be cool if white walkers were in it, though maybe they are there for later in the game maybe?

 

I'm almost done with the game now. White walkers won't be in it. The game takes place right when the TV show was beginning. They mention Jon Arryn dying in the game, which takes place in the first episode of the TV show. The game also mentions Ned Stark
being the new King's Hand.

The game doesn't hold back with the violence. Cloud, if you're a fan of the show, then you'll be able to pick up right away on who's who in the game when they refer to these people.

 

Thanks Eggnogga now I wanna finish the game, I barely started and got annoyed by the combat. It really sucks that it's not considered canon with the main story but it's cool that it's all based on stuff that happens in the books and in the show.

That alone is enough to catch my interest, that its not canon as Unyo says but it does refer to the canon in a variety of ways. Sad there is no White Walkers but I bet they will be in the upcoming game as I understand that that is going to be canon, or I
am just presuming that.
