360 Game of Thrones

Hey guys.



Has anyone here played the Game of Thrones game that came out a while back on the 360? With season 4 soon to be starting up, I am in the mood but a quick google has told me that it was not well received. I don't usually rely on reviews but I trust your judgements
to set me right.



I should get my console soon so would like to give it a try if its not a flop.

Game of Thrones not doing so well in the review department...

So far there has been only three reviews posted on Metacritic, a 60, 40, and 40. I haven't really kept up with this game, but I love the show, so I still might pick this up, but the reviews are very disappointing.

I have it...... still in plastic on my shelf. lol. I think I bought it for $20 a month or two after release. Yeah, the game got really bad scores/marks, but I heard the story was pretty cool though. Sorry I can't help ya.

 

The 2012 video game released by Cyanide/Atlas got rather terrible reviews overall.

The good news is that Telltale has a new GoT game coming out this year. This one should be great, since Telltale has knocked it out of the park with Season 1 of Walking Dead. Season 2 is off to a fantastic start as well.

 

I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan, & even I haven't bothered with playing that game. It's supposedly really bad. If you decide to play it, don't expect to see any familiar characters. I think only Cersei & Mormont are in
the game.

Aside from that, it seems to just be a cash-in on the name. If I were you, I would just wait & play Telltale's upcoming game, like Knewrome said. I have high hopes for that one.

I only know one guy who played it. He said the story was good, but the gameplay was terrible.

I totally forgot about the telltales adaption! I guess I could hold off for that. Shame though, if it was up to me I would turned this franchise into an MMO. Though that's likely just my hunger for the genre speaking lol.

Any word on when the telltale GoT will come?

 

There's no confirmed date, unfortunately. They just have a 2014 release window.

 

I played it and got the full 1k GS out of it , I enjoyed it but it has been noted before that my choice of games can be a bit iffy to say the least lol.

 

2014 is good enough for me. At least I know its this year lol. I hope they stay close to the roots but from what I have experienced (grouped with) and heard, this developer doesn't disappoint.

dainja, see I get like that too. I can play a game that everyone didn't really like that much and thoroughly enjoy it. Its just this particular game seems to have been literally rained on lol

 

Knowing that a new Game Of Thrones game is being released has piqued my interest , I'll keep an eye out for that , and Cloud , if you can get a copy of the first one for a pound or two give it a spin , you may like it lol.

 

I will do buddy! Thanks. Even if I don't like it, for a quid or 2 I would give it a whirl. The telltales adaption should be good. Just hope it fits into the series well.

 

I bought at full price big mistake. If you can get under $10 go for it.
