30 player playlists

This usually occurs when the game takes much time to find another players. Try to check the different playlist in the matchmaking (they usually display how many players are playing each playlist) and chose one with most player online.

No offense to the HC players out there, but there just aren't enough of you out there to warrant the same playlists as core players. Im just impressed that Treyarch is using fan feedback to plan their playlists.

It's 6x6 on normal playlists for both consoles, however, xbox one have the ground war playlists, which can be played up to 9x9 players.

"Inexcusable"? No. This is 343i's game, and this is the way they've chosen to handle playlists. They don't need an excuse. BS Angel has already stated that if a certain playlist is wildly popular, that it has the potential to become a permanent playlist.
That's why this is staying around for at least another week.

The reasoning is simple. They don't want it to be like Reach where a few playlists only had a few hundred players in them at peak times. The way they have it now, every playlist has a pretty significant population. Even 7,000 players is pretty significant.
Too many playlists thins populations down which creates an overall undesirable experience.
