    I had a promotion come up today for 30% off the regular cost for a 12-month extension for Xbox Live. I had entered the promotion and forgot to purchase and upon looking for it later couldn’t find it. Any ideas on how to find this promotion again or how to
    trigger it to come up? Thanks!

    I was in under my games and apps, I went down to games or deals with gold and it came up there I believe.

    I think I know the problem. Microsoft did have a Xbox Gold Membership promo last month. It can be found in IGN's website as well:

    So it is sad that the promotion has ended actually. However, the news in Xbox usually updated late so you can still see some old news in the Xbox interface. Hence when some users happily click into the offer news without realizing that the offer has ended
    as a matter of fact, they would encounter the original price (USD59.9) eventually, some did not even check it out clearly then pay for it and later found that they were charged the original price.

    So I am sorry to say that you are being let down by their late yet irresponsible news update. But if joining the membership is no hurry and can be waited, keep waiting and checking. They should have another offer and promotion very soon!

    Why?

    Three times a year you can buy a 12 month XBL gold membership for $30-$35 with no catch or other obligations.

    BestBuy and Amazon always do this. I just brought a 12 month around Jan or December.
