30 day security pending, Xbox login

Hi is there any way to resolve this issue before the 30 day period is up . I can login in to every aspect of my account with exception to my Xbox console.

It's important to note that this is a public user-to-user community forum, and none of us here work for Microsoft.

According to the official Microsoft website:

"If you request the removal of all security info in your account, the info doesn’t actually change for 30 days. During this time, we cannot accept further changes or additions to security settings or billing info. Your account is still open and active, and you can still use your email, Skype, OneDrive, and devices as usual."

Technically you can still sign in to your account, however, I've encountered a few issues that others were unable to sign in to their Xbox account on their console due to the 30-day security lockdown.

I highly suggest making sure your Xbox account is automatically signed in on your console and avoid signing it out during the security info change so that you won't get locked out.

Hi.

It seems that you have recently requested to update your security information on your Microsoft account on 5/19. The previous alternate email might have been your only security info, and Microsoft therefore puts a temporary hold of 30 days before allowing you full access to certain services that require extra security. This is done to protect and alert you in case the security info was removed by someone who had unauthorized access to your account.

Microsoft can't expedite the 30-day process unless you cancel the request at the login page.

To avoid ending up in this pending state again, you may set up multiple ways to authenticate through Additional security options | Microsoft account, and avoid deleting all security info at once.

Your security info change is still pending

Your security info will be replaced after 30 days, on 1/5/2024. Until then, you won't be able to sign in to your account unless you can use your current security info or a trusted device.

Removing your old security credentials and replacing them with new security credentials will restrict your Microsoft account for 30 days. During this time, Microsoft will send notifications to phone numbers or email addresses that will be deleted if attackers attempt to delete your information. Microsoft cannot speed up the process.

What you can do while changes are pending

If you made changes to the security information:

*After 30 days, the security information you chose to delete will be deleted.

*During this 30-day period, you will still be able to access most Microsoft services, but you won't be able to do things that require a security code, such as change your password, email addresses, or manage online parental controls.

*You can view, change or add billing information and make purchases.
