30 day free trial - lengthty resolve process

Hi,

I was told to contact the rewards page by a support chat worker, and then told to post here,

This is taking unbelieveably long to resolve, and i'm not very happy

I have tried to acces the offer of a 30 - day free gold trial from my dashboard on xbox 360 , on both mine and my girlfriends profile,

i have a reference number, [Mod Removed], but i'm not happy about how long it is taking to resolve something that should have worked first time

Can somebody help me please?

Hello my name is larry...I just started a 30 day free trial and played on black ops 2 for about 3 days...now when I turn on my xbox it will allow me to connect to xbox live but says this profile cannot play online at this time when I select the multiplayer
or zombies...can someone plz help

About "Trial Gold"

Hey there AcID,

There may be some confusion about the payment method and the free trial.

When you set up an Xbox 360 console, you follow an account creation sign-up process so you can access Xbox LIVE Free membership features, assuming that you have a broadband Internet connection.
At the end of the account creation process, you can upgrade to a Gold membership. If you don’t upgrade, you can receive a free 30-day Gold trial.

The 30-day Gold trial is associated with a single gamertag and can’t be added to an existing subscription. A total of three 30-day trial accounts are available per console, and this limitation cannot be reset.
After a user has created three trial accounts, the user no longer receives a message that provides the opportunity to create a 30-day Gold trial account.

To use the Gold trial, you must add a payment instrument to your account.

At the end of the trial period, the Gold trial membership automatically renews to a paying subscription that renews monthly by default. The subscription will renew to the payment instrument that was added.

When you first create the account and do not upgrade, you can get the 30 day trial. You would need to create a new free account and use that to sign up for the free trial when prompted and add a payment option at that time.

Each new console comes with 3 free 30 day trials of Gold memberships. However these free trials are only available to brand new accounts set up on the console. They cannot be stacked or added to existing accounts.

my console is over 2 years old, these aren't for new memberships it say's 'offer just for you'

Additionally, i created an account for my girlfriend and joined live, as a new account, the offer would not activate for her profile either, and it was brand new.

Can someone from microsoft please resolve this error? , i can't believe its taken over 12 hours.

nope 30 day trials have ALWAYS been for new accounts sorry and also you cannot post reference numbers those are for phone and chat support only not for forums.

dave - Every now and then there are promotions through the dashboard to receive a free month. It works similarly to the free months given on the new console, but you have to "purchase" the month through that promo.
