3 Xbox Consoles - 1 Family and they can't be played at the same time

I dont think Game Pass has anything to do with the issue.

Both the games they are trying to play are free to play downloads that have been installed to run on the console.

Example 1 - Both want to play Fortnite. If Daughter A is playing and Daughter B turns on her xbox and logs in, it ends Daughter A's session.

Example 2 - Daughter A is playing Roblox and Daughter B loads Minecraft - it ends Daughter A's session on Roblox.

And so on.

Currently it appears that for some reason they cannot be playing ANY game at the same time and both have/are using separate gamer tags.

I asked you if your daughters are playing through a single gamepass subscription because microsoft ended gamepass sharing for more than one console or xbox user to play at the same time with a single subscription.

Daughter A has a Game Pass Ultimate Subscription. Paid By Credit Card

Daughter B has a Game Pass Ultimate Subscription. Paid by Phone Bill.

I googled game pass it advised that for online games (like Fortnite/Roblox etc.) A Game Pass subscription is not needed according to the Fortnite website -





So you are saying that information is incorrect?

I still don't understand the issue though as both have separate subscriptions so they aren't being shared?

So what would happen if I cancelled both memberships to Game Pass Ultimate? I'd save £26 per month and they'd still have the same issue OR based on the information on the Fortnite site they could continue to play on their respective accounts without any "sharing" issues?

Home Xbox Settings:
