    I have just had to reset my youngest sons XboxOne due to a hard drive issue.

    One day he switched it on and his profile was simply gone. The only option he had was "Add Profile".

    I managed to get to see his installed games and they were all still there, just his profile had disappeared, but the Xbox was running really slowly and hanging.

    After a few failed attempts I realised the HDD was dying, so I had no choice but to replace it.

    I have just done that, and when it came to signing in, it logged in to my eldest sons account, and the email address it showed on screen wasn't the one I used to sign in, it was my own personal hotmail address.

    I then removed my oldest sons account (he was already signed into that on his own console) and tried again to log in using my youngest sons profile details. This time I got the message "this profile already exists, you cannot use on this device" or something to that effect. I then clicked ok, and it once again logged me into my eldest sons profile, and the on screen email address was not the one I used to try to log in, but my own personal hotmail address.

    So once again I deleted that profile, and this time I used my eldest sons details, which has another different hotmail address, (I have one each for my 3 kids, each one being a derivative of their names, so I know whose is whose). It then also said "this profile already exists. etc." and then logged me back into the profile that my eldest son is already logged into and again showed my own personal hotmail address, instead of the one that I had just tried.

    I have now just been to my hotmail account and tried to find the 3 email addresses that I use for my kids, and they have disappeared, but when I try to add them it says this email already exists!!

    Where have they gone Microsoft??

    What have you done with them??

    My main email was a 'hotmail.com' account, and their own personal emails were 'hotmail.co.uk' accounts, and all I can surmise is that you have merged them into one single account.........BUT NOW ALL THAT MEANS IS THAT I HAVE 2 XBOX PROFILES THAT I CAN'T ACCESS AND ALL THE PAID FOR DLC IS UNUSABLE!!!

    Why have you done this without asking or warning??

    How do I get them back so that my kids can play online with their friends again??

    Seriously NOT HAPPY!!

    I did have 2 calls while I was at work yesterday, but there was only a 91 number, and my phone said that it was from Madrid and possible spam.
