3 month game pass ultimate free with laptop

What you most likely saw was information about upgrading to Ultimate and that you can upgrade up to 36 months at a time at the conversion rate at that time. Conversion rate refers to the ratio of converting Xbox Gold (now Core) or standard Game Pass into Ultimate. At the time you bought the laptop, the conversion rate would have been 1:1 and is now 3:2. If you didn't have a subscription when you added Ultimate, it wouldn't have affected you.

Basically your laptop most likely had a free trial which depending on the laptop could have only been 1 month of free Ultimate or 3 months of free Ultimate. If you had a subscription at the time you added that free trial, what you already had would have been converted and upgraded to Ultimate as well for up to 36 months depending on what you had.

Have you checked to make sure you have a valid credit card on your Microsoft account? It's impossible to start billing you after the 3 months is up without it.

2. Based on the screenshot you have attached, you where trying to subscribe to a free trial and will be agreeing to the charge of $10.99 plus tax, have you already checked if you have added payment options in your account - Microsoft account | payment options?
   
3. Is the device added to your Microsoft account?
   
4. Are you signed into Microsoft Store and Xbox app with the same credentials?
