3.5 mm port problem

I'm not sure if my controller is broken (barely believe that since its 3 weeks old) but when I plug in a mic, it shows that nothing is plugged in. I tried with my apple headphones as well but it still doesn't work. I tried updating my controller, resetting
my Xbox and all but it still doesn't work. Also when I go to look to adjust the audio on my mic, it doesn't pop up in my setting. And I've tested my mic already too. Please respond because I've been looking up solutions, non of them have worked so far. And
I'm hoping that you might have one that will help

Using The Turtle Beach X12s On The Xbox One

I have Turtle Beach X41's and use them with the Xbox One without any issues, however you will not be able to plug the 2.5 mm jack into the 3.5 mm controller port as it's too large - you will need to buy a 2.5 to 3.5 mm adapter cable, they're inexpensive
so you might as well buy a couple extras just in case.

 

3.5 mm port vs headset adapter port

Plus the adapter adds a few additional benefits such as muting the microphone if connected and adjusting the volume without the need to use the console menus to do this.

Unfortunately, it does sound like the controller may be faulty.

To test and be sure, can you do the following:

• Test another controller with the console and headsets.
• Test that controller on another console and with a USB connection.
• Test a standard Xbox chat headset with the controller.

Post back and let us know how those tests go!

 

Im not able to do any of these because I don't have any of these items and I don't have friends that can test this for me.

 

Ok I've tried out the 1st suggestion you made. My friend said that it worked now and then for him. Also he had to plug it in and out headphones into the controller multiple times before it worked.

 

Here is the weird thing though, when I plug in my apple headphones, it makes that pop noise. Like whenever you plug it in and you hear the noise go through the headphones.

 

If the same controller exhibited the same symptoms for your friend then the issue is most likely the controller.

You can look into a repair for the item by
registering the console and selecting Accessory repair.
