    2Wire (Modems/Gateways): Xbox live not issues
    Xbox live won't let me browse anything, I go to click on browse new games and nothing happens, tried it on everything and nothing works. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this?

    Network will not assign IP address to XBOX

    Your issue may come from the setup your using. Putting another router behind a 2wire router does not work very well. 2wire devices are both modems and routers, in one device. So you typically do not need another router, like a Netgear, behind it. Although
    this should not prevent you from getting an IP address, it will affect your connection to Xbox Live. If you want to use a Netgear router behind the 2Wire, you should put the 2Wire in "bridge" mode. That would make it act more like a standard modem.

    I am 100% sure. I have never had a 2Wire modem connect to xbox live. I know some things that are not on that list work fine. 2Wires in my experience do not work.

    GEtting disconnected from xbox live

    I am having this exact same issue and called xbox support and they said they resolved the issue but I am still getting booted from xbox live. What are some suggestions?? We have att uverse with a 2wire gateway model number 3800HGV-B

    Not to hijack this thread, but I am having this exact same issue suddenly tonight.

    I am connected via cat5 cable. I am on a 2Wire modem as well, and am located in NB, Canada. I have cycled power on the router and xbox and gone through all the steps needed to clean cache, and test connections. My Live was working perfectly earlier today.
    I am on 50/25 Fiber connection through Bell. All ports are forwarded for the xbox as needed.

    Could it be an xbox glitch in relation to 2Wire modems?
