    so my Xbox has been fine upto the point when I bought this new game on my Xbox called Friday the 13th, and every sense I got this game every five to 10 minutes it'll shut the Xbox off and it'll take a bit to turn it back on I always have to unplug the whole
    Xbox from the wall and from the brick. I have a fan on it but still turns off. It doesn't feel that hot on the Xbox or the power brick blown into the fan to make sure it was just a bunch of dust so I don't know what else it can be. I even went to my settings
    and turned off automatic turn off for when it's not active. Do I need to send it in to be looked at or is there something I can do?

    Network will not assign IP address to XBOX

    Your issue may come from the setup your using. Putting another router behind a 2wire router does not work very well. 2wire devices are both modems and routers, in one device. So you typically do not need another router, like a Netgear, behind it. Although
    this should not prevent you from getting an IP address, it will affect your connection to Xbox Live. If you want to use a Netgear router behind the 2Wire, you should put the 2Wire in "bridge" mode. That would make it act more like a standard modem.

    I think the latency you get is how your modem/router open ports for the xbox...

    So try to check the port on it!

    I am 100% sure. I have never had a 2Wire modem connect to xbox live. I know some things that are not on that list work fine. 2Wires in my experience do not work.

    It would be great if you are able to find out the model number of your 2wire gateway.

    Could you try, once more, to directly connect your Xbox 360 with an Eternet Cable to the 2wire gateway, but this time, make sure you disconnect your second Xbox 360, along with the Xbox One, from your network.

    Disable UPnP and reboot your 2wire gateway.

    Enable UPnP and reboot your 2wire gateway.

    This procedure will refresh the map table.

    If it's possible, are you able to try and connect your console on a different network (friends house), to verify if this is exclusively tied to your network, or not.
