2Wire (Modems/Gateways): solitaire quits after each game
I have just switched to a new computer. Now when I play a game of solitaire instead of allowing me to play another game the screen switches to the start menu and I have to sign in to solitaire all over again.

  2. Microsoft Solitaire Collection

Quite often when I play Solitaire challenge collection games, Spider, Freecell, Pyramid, and Tripeaks, part way through the game, the screen goes black after each move, or freezes, then restarts from the beginning, or the game ends, and I have to relaunch.
System Windows 10, with all relevant updates in place.

Solitaire closes after each game finishes

Whenever I finish any solitaire game, whether successful or not, solitaire closes. If I am doing Daily Challenges or Events, the results of the game are saved, so when I restart Solitaire, it shows accurate statistics. If I just play one of the games,
    win or lose, Solitaire closes.

I tried uninstalling Solitaire and re-installing it. It worked for 2 games and then started the same behavior. Every once in a while, it won't even re-start. It shows loading without the moving cards and then closes.

Casual Games Solitaire collection won't update

Problem Fixed! I had uninstalled and reinstalled the Microsoft Solitaire Collection about 10 times, and each time I attempted to play, I got the same error messages. Even though I tried playing offline (instead), THIS time, after I played 6 or 7 games of
Klondike, it started to save my data, and my name showed up in the upper right corner.

So my (illogical) suggestion is to start the app, keep clicking on the buttons til you can play "offline". Then try playing Klondike solitaires 8 or 10 time without leaving the page. Then quit the app and try going in. Hopefully, the game will show all your
progress and you won't see the message that you aren't online.

    Good luck, everyone!

    Should I get this game?

The Saints Row franchise is a lot of fun. Each game gets weirder and cornier after each sequel, but it's good. I haven't played IV yet, but I hear it's quite fun.

Oh and I second Red Dead Redemption.

Microsoft Solitaire has been clicked and dragged into the World Video Game Hall of Fame!

Well deserved for Microsoft and the solitaire team, one of the games that I have most played with each version of windows and now on other devices.

    Events

this will most likely be solitaire.

they change the events up quite often i think.

Why has Solitaire & Casual Games/Microsoft Solitaire Collection started crashing at launch?

I looked at the linked solution, and it appears to be geared to Windows 10. I have Windows 11 Version 22H2, and I can't seem to find either the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter or a "Repair" option when I right-click Solitaire & Casual Games in the list of All Apps. Is there a Windows 11-specific method for troubleshooting this "crash when launching" issue with Solitaire & Casual Games?

I did subsequently find the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter, which had me first restore User Account Control, then Repair, then Reset Solitaire & Casual Games. I attempted to launch Solitaire & Casual Games after each step, and still had the crash issue.

I finally right-clicked on Solitaire & Casual Games in the Start Menu list of "All Apps," clicked App Settings, and then scrolled down (something I hadn't previously noticed was possible) to where I could click "Repair". After Repair, I left-clicked Solitaire & Casual Games in "All Apps," and it finally launched! I then had to click on the top right-hand corner of the app window to log in, and my previous progress was restored. Good to go now!
