    CD drive not working.

    Hey all, my xbox 360's disc drive went kaput a while back, just today I got the replacement drive I ordered off amazon, it was new by the way.

    When I put it in my xbox and tried to play a game a bunch of text some came up and at the top it read "to play this disc, put it in an xbox 360 console".

    This is weird because it IS in an xbox 360 console, did I do anything wrong? It plays dvds just fine and presumably music cd as well.

    Can anyone help me?

    Ripping CD's...Why not?

    If they are not going to let us rip CDs, at least let people put mp3s on their XB1 or stream music while playing. I loved playing my own music on Forza 4 on the 360. I also had custom arena music on NBA 2k13 and it made the game feel so realistic. That was a main feature on NBA 2K13, so people were obviously ripping music to their 360s and streaming, so why stop this gen?

    Anything I select in the microsoft movies and tv app on my xbox 360 console says the xbox service is unavailable. and all my moveis and tv shows aren't showing up. Its roughly 9 years worth.

    I played a lot of XBOX 360 games. Some are good. Some are bad. And some you want to say WTF. So I played bunch of game of my 360 years. And I keep playing with 360 until MS put it down to sleep.

    Exactly what I was going to say lol. You all have 360's now, so instead of trading them in or selling them, just put them aside for when you want to play your 360 games.
