2 xbox's just can see how to get it all to work

I have two xbox consoles one for one son and one for the other. Son A has an original xbox one and it was working fine with a live gold account. Today i purchased another console for son B and set it up. I was advised to set up the new xbox one s digital
as the home xbox and share games with the other one.

I thought i would have to setup two gold accounts one as im guessing a xbox live gold can not be share between consoles, which is fine?

I setup the new one login in as me and adding son B's account, then signed up to xbox live gold. Son B very happy.

However Son A on the original console does not seem to have a gold account anymore????

I have to login on both as me, as im managing there accounts, but how do i get gold on both machines as well as share games, is this possible? Or do i need to have two id's myself and by two lots of games as well as two lots of xbox live accounts?

Very annoying and complicated, why isn't have two consoles a lot easier to setup?

I have 4 Xbox One systems in my household and utilizing only 2 Gold accounts. My home Xbox is set to my daughter's system and I log onto my system with my account. My daughter gets Gold access on my account because hers is the home system and I
get full access due to logging into my account. The same is true with my Wife's account and my son's Xbox. The home setting does work but you would still need to log into the Gold status account on the second (non-home) Xbox.

Thank you. It seems a silly approach, as I'm going to have to give one of my son's my login details, otherwise they can't play whilst I'm away. This then defeats have control over payments etc.

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to the issue with Home Console sharing, as Xbox Ambassador Smwutches has stated, you can
only set one console as your Home Console. If you had Son A's console as your home console and then switched it to Son B's console Son A will no longer have access to the gold from your account, which is how Xbox Ambassador

The Home setting allows you to share both gold and games, but you can only have 1 console set as your Home at a time. It sounds as if you original had son A's console set as your Home console and had gold on your account. If you set son B's console as your
Home, you would no longer be able to share gold with son A.

You could:

1) continue with the current set up and purchase a 2nd gold subscription on son A's account.

2) Purchase gold on son A's account and have him set son B's console as his Home (or vice versa).

Sorry i hope that did not come across rude. Thank you for your help, i just meant microsoft could have come up with a better and easy solution for families / multiple xbox house holds.
