2 Xbox One consoles and 3 users

Hi,

I have two Xbox One consoles and I have 2 sons that would like to play each other on Fortnite. I would also like play against them as well sometimes.

We have one Xbox Live Gold account.

How would I go about setting this up?

Do I need to get another Xbox Live Gold account to do this?

Would I have to get an Xbox Live account for my sons?

If so, how do you even get an Xbox live account for a child?

you can set one xbox up as your home xbox and share gold privileges with all users on that xbox. sign into the other xbox with the gold account. That gives you 2 people able to play. If you have a PC good enough to run fortnight you can play cross platform
from there and no gold is required for a PC.

according to
IGN you can split screen (which means more than one player) on xbox and PlayStation. You would need to play squads or duos for split screen as it would be like cheating in a free for all. So your 2 sons could be on one xbox you on the other, or whatever
combo you want

I will be locking this thread due to inactivity,

As previously mentioned you would need to make sure that the Home console is set up properly.

Keep in mind that you can only have 1 Home console at a time. So in this case since you are sharing your content to your sons console you are unable to set the home console in the living room. Being that your living room is not your Home console your wife
will not be able to access your content on the console unless you (a)Set the Xbox as your Home console in the living room or
(b)you are logged on.

Hi there,

since you have set the console in your son's room your subscription(s) and digital owned games can be played by other profiles on that specific console.

Which means that your wife is able to play your owned games on that console, since it's the Home console.

If you want to have her play at the living room console, then either that console needs to be set as Home, which means that your son won't be able to play your games on the console in his room, or the games need to be purchased again for a different account
so that account owns the games too and is able to play them on any console.
