2 Xbox consoles, 1 Gamertag, 2 different home screens?

Hi, I'll try to explain as best I can.

Within the last few days I have got a Series X console, I already have a One S console and am intending keeping both. The Series X is now my main console and the One S has been moved to a different room to use primarily as a UHD Blu-ray player (and still for games too, just not as often).

What my idea is to have the One S as more of a entertainment machine, with more apps than games on it. So I wanted a home screen where the apps are more prominent, this is where my problems start.

When I move the groups on one console to where I want them, it also changes them on the other console. I understand that my settings have been saved in the cloud and that is great, but I would like, if possible, is to use my Gamertag on both consoles but have two separate home screens for each console.

I hope I have explained this properly and can be understood.

It is perfectly understood and in my case I also have both consoles, however to be able to do what you mention it is necessary to have 2 different gamertags, it really is not a big problem since with home Xbox you can share all from one profile to the second one

Hi Teeniest Mango3,

Look on your XBOX console and see if the emails are the same. When you log on go to the home screen by hitting the Guide button ( the center button) on your controller and select xbox home. while there, watch the top right of your screen and the email and
your gamertag will scroll there.

If the emails are the same, you will need to contact phone support at 1-800-4MYXBOX because you will need to have it looked at by an agent.

If the emails are different, then that is why you see 2 different gamer tags.

Well that's not how home console works

Ok so let's call your profile profile 1 and your xbox one x console 1

Your son profile is profile 2 and console 2 for thr xbox one

Since profile 1 is gold console 2 MUST BE set to home console for profile 1 and profile 2 can use the gold from that and be signed into his own profile 2

HOWEVER gold is NOT required on fortnite or any f2p games

Profile 1 can play on console 1

Profile 2 can use your content on console 2 only

While profile 1 can use your content on console 1 as long as you are connected to live

You cannot be signed in on two different places

What you are talking about is guest account NOT home console

Your profile must be signed out of console 2

Yes there is a difference

To make it simplier

Series x is console 1

Xbox one s is console 2

Your account assuming it has the xgu is account 1

Your sons account is account 2

Account 2 must be on console 2

Account 1 makes console 2 it's home console under my account settings

Account 1 can then play on console 1-2 but only on console 1 if you sign in online at all times

Advance features like cloud play is only available on account 1

Not at this time. When I went on Son# 2 console, I could see both profiles and his preferences were checked as Home Computer. So I deleted Son# 1 Gamertag and marked as NOT Home Xbox then restarted it. I'm assuming that when Son#1 tried to help by selecting
his gamertag on Son# 2 console, It reverted to his profile if you will?
