2 step authentication bad email

Discus and support 2 step authentication bad email in XBoX Accessibility to solve the problem; My main account of 17 years was compromised a few days ago logging me out.     2 step authentication bad email


    My main account of 17 years was compromised a few days ago logging me out. So now it wants to send my reset password code to an email that got deleted a few years back. If I search up my phone number it is connected to my account. But there isint an option to send the code to my phone instead of the bad email. I have filled out multiple forms my account recovery but they are coming back denied. I literally have all The correct emails and password besides the secondary email that doesn’t exist. Any help what’s so ever is much appreciated. 17 years of purchases and memories that I can no longer access is killing me

    Based on your description, you are trying to reset your account's password. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

    According to this support article: How to use two-step verification with your Microsoft account, two-step verification for your Microsoft account means you ideally can add three pieces of security info to access it back just in case you forgot the password. So, to answer your question, you can access your account back with only one option - verify your identity with the help of your security information. That option will depend on how many security information you have added in your account.

    Ahh no luck sadly. The xbox updated, but I'm still getting the email/password issue. Could it arise from having 2-step authentication setup?

    contact Customer Support for more assistance with the Microsoft Account. The error
    may be happening due to the cancellation of the previous request.

    Thank you! That is one of the issue i am having. I cant seem to get that 30 day period restarted. I get a message saying:

    "we're not ready for you yet, your account is unable to complete the request"

    If it was just a matter of waiting it wouldnt be an issue.

    Just reset the password through the secondary email you have provided. If you can't no one can help you with sensible info.
