2 gamer tags on one email address…removing one…plz help

Need help removing a gamer tag from an email address. So somehow stupidly when creating a Xbox account for my son, the same email address that was used for mine was used for his.

So when I try to sign in on a different Xbox, with my email address it automatically puts his account on the Xbox. So I need to know if there is a way that I can remove his gamer tag (He doesn’t use this account anymore).

Both of our accounts are currently on one Xbox signed in, but I am trying to sign in on a different Xbox and I’m not able to because it doesn’t recognize or give me the option to select my gamer tag When signing in.

Welcome to the Xbox Community. Each Microsoft account is only able to have one Gamertag/Xbox Live profile attached to it, however, a child account can be attached to the parent account. Check out this article because it can help you remove a family member from your family group on your Xbox console or the Xbox Family Settings app.

We recommend logging into the Microsoft Family page and checking to make sure the account is removed once you've completed the steps from the article.

first of all you can not have 2 different gamer tags on one email address so there must be a different email address associated with the original gamer tag your best bet would be to contact xbox support at support.xbox.com/contact-us and give them your gamer
tag and if they can verify your account they can give you the email address associated with your original gamer tag

It technically is said that you cannot have 2 Xbox Gamertags linked to 1 Email Account so I'm going to go ahead and push this suggestion toward Microsoft Support to fix this since they are the only ones able to access your accounts and Forum Support is quite

i have a nokia lumia phone with xbox on there but its connected to my long standing email address with a very old gamertag i want to transfer my new gamer tag on to my old email howdo i do that plz help
