2 different Game tags 1 MS account

Does the profile picture and progress on the accounts its different? You can't have 2 different Xbox accounts on the same email, what could be its that you have 2 display name one for the new Xbox gamertag system and one for the games that do not support the new one

Each gamertag can only be associated with one MS account.

If you want to use your current MS account with your new tag, the old tag will need be associated with a new MS account. -

Once the old tag is associated to a new MS account, you can use your MS account on your new tag.

Any achievements earned/purchased made under the original tag will remain tied/licensed to the original tag.

If you do it correctly you can do it riggt the first time without waiting 30days

so gamertag 1 has ms account 1

and gamertag 2 has ms account 2

so you need an ms account 3

So you change gamertag 2 with ms account 2 with ms account 3

then replace gamertag 1 with ms account 2 and then wait for the 30days to replace ms account 3 for gamertag 2

so replace gamertag 2 and ms account 2

9 times out of ten that tag is assigned to another MS device like Zune or PC game account. your only option is to pick a different name, sorry.

Yes, you can change the MS account associated with a Gamertag.

(1) It doesn't cost any money to do this. If you want to change your Gamertag, it will cost you MS points, but changing and email/MS account doesn't cost any money/MS points.

(2) No, you do not loose the items purchased with your Gamertag when it was associated to your old MS account.

(3) Not sure about this one. A friend of mine did it from a computer a while back. I don't know if that's still the case.

Remember you can only move a tag once every 30 days (not sure if this applies in this case).
