2 child accounts listed for same child

To accept a request from the child account, it may come through in an email or through the Xbox Family safety app. You can download the Xbox family app through the store app on your phone.

Hi Onyx, i’m confused as to what you said; Whichever child has the Gold membership on their account should be set as Home on the other child's console.

So, if child A has has the gold account then child Bs console should be the designated Home Xbox of child As account?

Or do you setup child Bs console to list child As console as the Home Xbox?

Also, can both Consoles be using the Gold account at the same time albiet with the childs individual profiles? I.e. both children can be playing multiplayer games at the same time using the same Gold account on their
own console?

Steps to remove a child account:

1. Go to
   account.microsoft.com/family.
   
2. 2
   Sign in with your Microsoft account, then:
   • To remove a child, scroll down and select Manage my child's profile info, select the child, select Remove consent for this child's account, and confirm. Go back to your family’s page, and under the child’s
     name, select More options > Remove from family, and confirm.

Your child must have signed in with access to the parent account in order to remove themselves. I would suggest you change your account password and/or remove automatic sign in on the adult account. They may not know your password but if it is saved on
the Xbox then perhaps your child logged you in that way.

Have you set up a family account for yourself and the child that has XBL Gold (ie parent account with Gold, Child 1 has access as defined by parent account)? This would be best to control unauthorized purchases but would limit game sharing as only the Parent
account would be able to play on the non Home console.

If you haven't created a Family and have simply purchased XBL Gold for Child 1 then you can share that with Child 2 by game sharing:

• The console that Child 2 uses should be set as the Home console for Child 1 account
• The Child 1 account would download the applicable games to both consoles
• The Child 1 account would use the non Home console while logged in with his XBL account
• I recommend setting a custom pass code on purchases if you don't want unauthorized purchases made if you have added your CC to the console.

It is possible that you're trying to login the child account using the parent device or computer. To properly isolate this issue, we'd like to ask some questions:

• Are you trying to log into the child account using the child's device or computer?
• Have you tried removing the child account from the family account and add it again?
• Have you tried logging in the child account to other computer to check if the credentials are correct?
