    1TB external hard drive says full but nothing on it


    I have a Seagate external hard drive that’s 1TB I barely had anything on in the first place and now it says I have 0.0 GB out of 1.8TB, when I look at what’s on it there is no apps or games on the hard drive. I tried unplugging it from Xbox and turn the Xbox off and back on then plugging it back in and it didn’t work. Is there anything else for me to do or do I need to just buy a new hard drive

    No, the 500gb is a joke. you will 100% need either an external hard drive or to buy the larger 1tb hard drive. External hard drives are just the cheaper option.

    Nevermind.

    I took the SSHD out of the enclosure and replaced the hard drive in my PS4 (increasing it's capacity from 500GB to 1TB). Then I took the 1TB external hard drive from my PS4 and made it the external hard drive for my Xbox and no longer have the issue.

    It seems it was either the SSHD or the enclosure that didn't seem to quite work right as an external hard drive on the Xbox. Either way problem solved.

    I'm currently using a My Passport Ultra 1TB external hard drive. Got it for $70 at Walmart, have over 850 gigs left and I have 12 downloaded full games.

    External Hard drive won't work

    It works fine on the pc. I tried another external hard drive I have. A WD 1tb and I don't get any message at all. Nothing. At least with the Seagate it says Try a Different Device. With the Western Digital I get nothing.

    Is there a way to force the xbox one to detect devices?
