18hours to install COD:Ghosts Really?

Hello

It has just taken 18 hours to install call of duty Ghosts and to say I am a little disappointed would be an understatement. When I placed the disc in it said there's a 2.5gig update I have to install... thats okay... my max download speed is roughly 900kbs,
so downloading 2.5gig would take abit of time I understood... however having to leave my xbox one on all day and night and waking to to see its only on 84% really made me angry

Is there anyway to speed up the install process?

and should it of taken 18hours?

Slow game installs

I'll try that. It took almost an hour to install COD Ghost for my X1

 

Xbox one not installing compatible 360 game

Xbox 360 Cod Ghosts won't install on my Xbox One.

It installs & plays on the other Xbox one, but not mine. It plays & installs other Xbox 360 compatible games but not cod ghosts.

It's not the disc because we have 2, & it installs on the other Xbox one.

Have hard reset & also tried putting the Xbox in offline then one mode & it still doesn't try to install.

On the Microsoft store it just says launch game, but when you press that it takes you back to the ghosts Microsoft store page

Someone please help!

 

A way i often use to speed up the install times is 1. unplug any Ethernet cables and connect from xbox live, 2. Sign-out of xbox live and exit any games or apps (on the dash press start then exit over what you want to exit) 3. put the game in and install.
Always works for me and the install is done in 5-45 minutes. (depending on game size)

 

Unfortunately you have an extremely slow internet connection.

A 2.5GB download will take nearly a day to download at that speed.

You are best doing what epicminer1610 says and unplug the internet while installing.

If you are using wireless then disconnect the wireless. You can reconnect once the install has finished but if you do this you still wont be able to play until the update has downloaded.

Also make sure that your console is in instant on mode with automatic updates switched on. At least that way updates will download automatically while the console is off.

 

I download 2.5gig files at 900KB/s within 2hours easy! thats wireless on my laptop, it dont matter if its Steam games, music or movies none take 18hours.

as a matter of fact ive just downloaded a 3gig file in under 3hours just 10mins ago.

 

2.5GB in 2 hours is forever, i can download that in like 30 mins.
