144hz monitor capping out at 60hz

Monitors are meant to be used with computers, and many of them use less powerful hardware in the display and rely on the computer to assist with processing. The actual hardware inside the monitors almost certainly limited to 60 Hz. it's the electronics, not the panel that is the most important part of any display

I checked the manual and this only does 60 Hz at 1080 P, check page 19. while the panel itself may be running at 144 Hz, the electronics driving it are not. I have 120 Hz and 240 Hz televisions, neither of words work with anything over 60 Hz. The first one was so that you could achieve 24 FPS playback, the second was for 3-D

The maximum resolution is 1080 P 60 Hz

If you see something that has a refresh rate not in ,multiples of 30 it's overclocked and presents problems with compatibility

Monitors these days are for professional graphic and video work where things like color accuracy are important.. before high definition televisions, it was the only way to get an HD display.

A good rule of thumb is if it doesn't retail for at least $500, it's not going to do 120 Hz native

At this moment i think is better and wait a few more month to see the new gen hardware, because you can get 4k at 144hz at a good price.

You'll have to make sure that a 4K 144hz monitor has HDMI 2.1 or you will still be limited to 60hz with the Xbox Series X or PS5

But as of yet there is no 4K 144hz monitors with HDMI 2.1,

HDMI 2.0 can do 4K at only 60hz,

HDMI 2.1 can do 4K at 120hz.

I believe that you need to have a monitor that is Freesync and Freesync has to be supported over HDMI, as well as, the monitor needs to have HDMI 2.0 ports and supports 120/144hz, looking at that, and being G-sync, it seems to have HDMI 1.4 ports which limits
it to 1440p at 60hz

A new monitor is needed if you want 1440p at 120hz,

When it comes to console gaming a 144hz monitor is really unnecessary, seeing as games are capped at 60fps. I use a 75hz monitor which I'm really happy with.
